Our Story

Anam Cara is a Celtic phrase meaning “soul friend.” With a soul friend, our entire selves find a place of belonging and presence with another - a friendship that transcends time and distance.

Over the years I have owned many special rescue dogs, I have always felt a bond that touched my heart and soul like no other. When I adopted my dog, Starbuck, in 2018 I found that bond amplified - a dog that seemed to sense what was in my heart, a dog that weathered life's trials with me, and a dog whose bravery and heart mirrored my own during those trials. It is this bond with Buck that inspired my love of training, and with this in mind that I decided to pursue professional dog training.
